| Sacred Journey Itinerary Day One: September 28th. Depart for Cairo to insure arrival by mid-day of 29th. Day Two: September 29th. Mid-day arrival to Cairo, checking into the Mena House Oberoi Hotel, Former Palace of King Farouk, facing the Pyramids. Dinner and walk in the village. Day Three: September 30th. Early AM meditation inside the Paws of the Sphinx. Private visit and Initiation ceremony within the middle Pyramid of Khafre and Initiation within Menkaure Pyramid. Sunrise exploration of Giza Plateau. Overnight at the Mena House. Day Four: October 1st. After breakfast, check out of Mena House and head for Cairo Museum, Khan El Khalili bazaar with a late lunch at the famous Nagib Mafouz restaurant. Overnight train to Aswan. Day Five: October 2nd. Arrive in Aswan and board our beautiful private Dahabia, The Afandina, which will be our home for 8 nights. Afternoon felucca sail upon the Nile to Elephantine Island and the Temple of Khnum. Visit Aswan market in the evening. Day Six: October 3rd. Early morning ferry takes us for a private pre-dawn ceremony to the exquisite Temple of Philae dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Return to the Afandina for breakfast. Free day to explore Aswan. Day Seven: October 4th. Early morning sail to the Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the Gods Sobek and Horus. Sail that afternoon to Edfu for private visit and ceremony at Temple of Horus. Day Eight: October 5th. Sail through the Nile locks to Esna. Explore this ancient town and overnight. Day Nine: October 6th. Magical day cruising to Luxor, sacred events, sharing and surprises. Arrive in Luxor in the evening. Open exploration within this jewel of a city. Day Ten: October 7th. Visit Temple of Abydos, containing the most beautiful reliefs in all of Egypt, and on to the mystical Osirion, Tomb of Osiris - later continuing to the Temple of Dendara dedicated to Hathor, the Goddess of love and joy. Evening free, Overnight docked in Luxor. Day Eleven: October 8th. Visit the West Bank of Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu and Valley of the Queens, site of the shrine to Queen Hatshepsut. Afternoon magic in Luxor to explore. Day Twelve: October 9th. Morning visit to Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in the world. Afternoon is free to enjoy Luxor. Evening visit amongst the stars at Luxor Temple. Day Thirteen: October 10th. Morning flight to Cairo. Afternoon private ceremony within the ancient Step Pyramid of Sakkara. Special lunch on the Sakkara Road. Day Fourteen: October 11th. Early morning private meditation Initiation in the King’s Chamber of The Great Pyramid, Khufu. Afternoon free in Cairo. Evening farewell dinner celebration. Day Fifteen: October 12th. Morning international departures, or begin the Pilgrims’ Path of Moses to Mount Sinai and the Red Sea |
